Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF) Stock Pitch

Relevant Position: Senior financials equity analyst (SMIF)
Description: Twice during the year, I collaborated with 12 other analysts to prepare and deliver a semi-annual report of our actively-managed $600k portfolio’s performance to our board of directors. Also in attendance were our founding members, which gave the fund its initial investment, scrutinized our performance, and determine future donations. Each presentation lasted around two hours, included a robust slide deck, and challenged my ability to not only speak publicly but defend ideas and decisions to industry professionals.
Association of Corporate Growth (ACG) Case Competition

Description: The ACG Case Competition, hosted by the Pittsburgh ACG branch, is a merger and acquisition and private equity case study between universities in the surrounding area. I collaborated with a team of three others from my university to work on a week-long project evaluating strategic alternatives for a private company considering different opportunities in light of an M&A deal. We presented our findings to a panel of both professors and Pittsburgh area investment banking and related industry professionals.
